Research Outline

All living organisms depend on redox reactions to sustain life.
Our laboratory seeks to understand biological phenomena by focusing on redox-active molecules known as supersulfide.
Using photosynthetic organisms as model systems, we study how supersulfide is generated, detected, and utilized within cells. This research involves a variety of analytical techniques and is conducted in collaboration with both domestic and international research institutes.
We aim to contribute to the development of novel treatments for various diseases and to explore innovative ways of utilizing trans-sulfur molecules to enhance agricultural productivity.
